About Us

Who’s behind the blog?

Hi there, we’re Kelly and Chris, a married couple from Pennsylvania who along with our two little’s (Judah and Ella) believe deeply in investing in intentional simple living, valuing experiences more than things.

We love travel, culture, food, people, and Jesus. We enjoy experiencing new things and finding beauty in ordinary things and day-to-day life.  We find joy in exploring new places together, and love meeting the people who call those places home.  We hope to highlight some of life’s unique moments and bring them to you to inspire and challenge you to live a more abundant life!

Our story

Chris and I met in the fall of 2007 while studying at Temple University in the beautiful city of Philadelphia. Over a period of 5 years, we fell in love and began our adventure together in marriage on August 26, 2012. Philadelphia has been our home, we love its delectable food, laid-back vibe, rawness, and our community there.

Over the last 10 years, Chris and I have lived and served in international settings throughout the world. We’ve worked in Spain, Malawi, Haiti, Honduras, Cambodia, Ukraine, Kenya, and Ethiopia, and have traveled to over 30 countries around the world.

Kelly has a heart and passion for serving in nonprofits and has done so for several NGOs over the last decade, and Chris is a licensed architect who uses his skills and passion to serve through design in development scenarios.  Chris has also started Conduit Collaborative, an architecture firm that invests in design professionals from developing countries by providing architectural training and employment so that they can better impact their communities through design.
